Romantic History: Christian Louis de Montmorency-Luxembourg (Romantic Affair)

Eléonore and her twin sister, Louise, had lived all their childhood with the fear of being send to the Convent. One of their oldest memories with their sisters was the morning of the girls' departure. All they could recall back from that morning were the tears and supplications.Of course, the letters and words they continued to receive from Marion, Beatrice and Denisete didn't contribute too much in changing their opinions.
Their parents' decision of sending the twins to join their sisters and the abbess' stern resolve to send them as missionaries for Algiers forced  Eléonore to do something about it.Now, even if their adventures in the Mediterranean weren't exactly what they expected from their life, the two youngest sisters of the Valois family enjoy every moment of it.

Eh? No pictures again?

Wow. I think this is the second story that is about a family living in the New World. Let's see if Eleonore de Valois is ever going to get married to a native... hee-hee.

It looks like you have thirteen families in your current neighborhood, based on the number of family tags you have on your blog. Can you list how many of them are noble families, middle-class merchant families, middle-class yeoman families, lower-class peasants and serfs?

First of all ... This isn't a new story.Eléonore and her sister, Louise, are the main characters in the story about the two girls taken away by the pirates.I'm only writing their profiles right now because I didn't have enough time. Also, while I was writing, I realized that I didn't have any close pictures of them, so I will update their profiles as soon as I can take some photos (today or tomorrow).
Second ... They're not heading for the New World, because right now the ship is sailing on the Mediterranean Sea, somewhere close to Sardinia (I think, but I haven't decided yet where the Capitan wants to sell the prisoners ... Algiers is closer, but Candia -currently known as Crete- has a great slave market, so ... I'm not sure, but I think I will lengthen their journey so that Eléonore will have enough time to make a decision about the baby she's carrying).
Even so ... I have some more ideas for Eléonore and her sister, so you'll just have to wait for two or three more rotations (I think). In the meantime, I will post a new story about Blanche and an old friend ^^

About the families ... I never really counted them until now ^^" I know there are only thirteen tags here, but I think in the game there are some more families that I added later. So ...
There is the Royal family (de Croy), the noble family of d'Albon (their are marquises), the family of de Lorraine (if I remember correctly, they are barons), the Counts de Peyrac, Barons de Valois and I think those are the nobles.Of course, some of the girls are listed with two name tags (the family where they were born in and the family in which they got married).
There are also some bourgeoises ... two families I think: Boucher and Dupuis. And there are the peasants, Benoit, Bonnet, Gaudet and some other outcasts.
Right now I'm kind of juggling with the titles ... some of the children born in the founding families changed their statuses: some of them acquired a new title by marriage (like the oldest of the Valois children, Maximilian did ; he became a Duke by marring Princess Blanche de Croy, but he lost all his titles by leaving her) and some gave up on their titles or lost them because of their actions (like Madelon de Valois did, by running away with a thief).

How do you keep track of all the dates so meticulously? Do you play with a strict rotation schedule to make sure that all the lots are played and end synced?

Are you going to show off any pictures of your neighborhood and lots? I would love to see them! :-D

I have a notebook where I try to write every important detail about a character or about an event and I also post many of them here.I update every character's profile every time something important happens (if they have a new baby, if their spouse dies or if they have an affair). And I don't really have so many people in my game (like Heloise does), so it's not so complicated (especially now that it's summer and I have lot of spare time).
I also make sure that by the end of a rotation I played every household by writing the years in their family's description.I like keeping everything synchronized for the sake of the stories ^^"

About those pictures ... I keep promising that I will take them but I always get distracted by something else and put it off. But, as I said, my neighbourhood isn't that spectacular (I haven't really organized it).The lots are quite medieval-looking, so maybe I will post some photos of them.

Since this is a Warwickshire Renaissance CHALLENGE, do you roll a 20-sided die or generate a random positive integer from 1 to 20? How exactly do you work with the die-rolling? If you roll an actual die, then did you buy it or did you already have it for something else? If you need to generate a random number, then did you do it online or offline? When you write in your notebook, do you use a pencil or a pen? I think you would use a pencil, since you would do a lot of erasing and changing of the data, correct? You know what? I think I am going to record my Simlish stuff in a personal notebook. So far, I have only my castle floorplans and a list of the different possible buildings that I can build in my medieval neighborhood. ^_^

I just want to say that I love your blog! I can't believe that I'm the only one responding to your posts! XD

It really inspires me of making my own medieval & renaissance neighborhood. I keep deleting and recreating mine so many times that it's not even funny anymore. OK. Next time I create a renaissance neighborhood, I'll try to NOT DELETE it, even though it's so tempting since I like playing with a CC-free Pleasantview/Bluewater Village neighborhood as well as create a medieval/renaissance neighborhood. This time, I think I would like to create a new renaissance neighborhood, set in the 17th century. I have already downloaded a lot of CC, so all I have to do is build the town up from scratch. Still haven't figured out which template I would use for the town. Much to consider. ^^"

I use a random integer generator and set it from 1 to 20 (or 1 to 6).About the death rolls ... Well, I just play the game by the rules.I generate a random number every time a woman gives birth or someone ages. Then I kill/keep them, depending on the number I got.I write my stories based on what happens in my game (I have the main idea in my mind, but I change it depending on how things turn out).
I generate the numbers online (well, that's one of the reasons today I had problems, because I had no Internet connection XD ).
I write in my notebook using a pencil.I also have a list of French names where I can choose from every time a baby is born ^^
It's better to use a notebook, because if your computer is out of order you can always keep everything on the paper.

I'm glad that there are people who enjoy reading those stories and I also thank you very much for leaving a comment on (almost) every post ^^ It really keeps me going with everything.
I had the same problem before ^^" I kept creating new worlds and I gave up on them after a few days (I never deleted them though).I still do this every time I try playing normal (not Medieval).
I also can't play a CC free Sims 2 XD
I respect you for trying to build a whole town and creating new buildings by yourself.I can't do that, so all my buildings are downloaded and edited by me to fit for my families.
Well, good luck with your project ^^ Maybe you will post it on you blog too, because I would love to read and comment ^^ Maybe upload some photos too ^^
